I have...

a few more things to post that I've created so far for Metropolitan Family Services. Just need to find the time to post them. Stay tuned...

misc...

These are a few various projects that I did for Metropolitan. I didn't think it was necessary to post them each separately, so I just put them all on one sheet. One full page ad for one of the MFS branches, two quarter page ads and a sign-up sheet...

2010 Annual Report

I'm posting the annual report for last year because I feel that it is a good example of how to layout a very content heavy page within a small amount of space. Often times, designers tend to prefer a cleaner page with lots of white space. However, when you are working with limited time/budget, this is not always possible. Take a look and let me know what you think...

potential webpage layout...

I'm in the process of beginning of thinking of the consideration of the redesign of my website...again (lol). I keep running into this issue where I have too many ideas bouncing around at once. It's hard to get them all out. Anyways, this is a potential layout that I've been messing around with recently. Thoughts? btw...the quote is from Dr. MLK Jr.

i wanted to post this...

primarily because of the social message that it portrays. I was given an assignment to create a short "comic book" style layout telling a brief story. I, being me (that makes sense, by the way, to those who know me), saw it as an opportunity to speak out against social injustice. I decided to tell the story of Mr. Amadou Diallo, an immigrant living in New York, who was gunned down unjustly from what was widely regarded as one of the most extreme public cases of racial profiling ever seen in America. Mr. Diallo was shot 41 times...he was unarmed.

my thesis project...

This is a small piece of the website that I had to create to finish my thesis project. The entire site was an e-commerce site set up to sell my t-shirts. The part I chose to display was posted because it shows some of the other shirt designs that I created. I apologize for the clarity of the piece, in advance. It was designed much larger than the space on the blog allows.

hendrix magazine layout...

small flash project...

this is a piece of a company's website that I created for them. It's flash-based and had to scaled down to about 60% of its true size. I know that makes it a little difficult to read and navigate, but it is fully functional. I just figured out how to post flash projects on here, so I'll most likely be putting a lot more of the up...

like many freelance designers, sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to maintain a full work schedule. for a time, I was working with a publishing company producing client advertisements for their publications. the picture contains some sample works that I created for them.

piece of marketing collateral that I designed for a doctor out in CA, while at Sandow Media. One of the publishers enjoyed it so much that it became a new template for the library...

art basel...

Every year in south beach, an event is held called Art Basel. Local, national and international artists all join together in order to display, critique and...well...sell their latest works of art. This is a promotional flyer that I created for one gallery and the artists that they were featuring.

magazine spread/layout...

Mock layout I created for a client specializing in youth employment programs.

TGG marketing collateral...

For my thesis I created a clothing company that was to be geared towards the younger crowd, but carrying an impact-ful, social message. It was to be centered around the concept of revolution, but still carry the mainstream themes of inner city life, music and culture. According to my research, my chosen demographic was less likely to view my advertising in a recently purchased magazine or on television than it was to pick up a guerilla-marketing styled flier in passing. So...I created my advertisements in the 4x6, urban themed style that they would carry in their pockets until they got to a computer to check out the website. These images are two of those fliers. Very urban, youthful, grungy themes...

This is an illustration from another children's book that I have been working on. This one is composed of poems.

MLM

Though I enjoy creating with digital mediums, my first true love will forever be sketching. The pictures I've posted are of a children's book that I wrote and illustrated. My initial sketch is included...
